Modernizing Diagnosis & Treatment of Eye Diseases

At Precision Eye Group, your vision is our priority, and we put a lot of effort into providing efficient, timely information that supports your vision.

Our diagnostic and treatment technologies help us fully understand your needs and develop personalized plans to help sustain your vision and eye health for years to come.

Our Ocular Wellness Screening

At Precision Eye Group, we take your vision seriously. That’s why we offer ocular wellness screening, which goes beyond a standard eye test to provide a comprehensive picture of your eye health.

This exam includes 2 key components:

  • Optos image: This technology captures a panoramic image of your entire retina, allowing us to see far more than a traditional retinal exam.
  • iWellness OCT: This OCT scan creates a detailed cross-sectional image of your retina and underlying structures, allowing us to examine your macula, the part of your eye responsible for central vision, at a microscopic level.

By combining these technologies, the ocular wellness screening offers a deeper understanding of your eye health for our team.

Diagnostic Technology

Whether you have an eye disease or need an updated prescription, our technology helps us provide care that caters to your unique situation.

Optos Imaging

Optos ultra-widefield retinal imaging is a noninvasive technology that captures high-definition images of your retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels. It’s an important tool for helping us diagnose and manage several eye diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, high blood pressure, and more.

Visual field testing is a diagnostic tool that measures your vision when your eyes are fixed on a central point. It helps detect early signs of glaucoma, optic nerve damage, neurological disorders, and more.

Electroretinography measures the electrical response of the light-sensitive cells in your retina to light. This technology provides insight into how your retina is functioning, helps diagnose retinal disorders, and determines if retinal surgery is needed.

Digital refraction uses technology to determine eyeglass prescriptions. It digitally analyzes refractive errors like nearsightedness and farsightedness by measuring your visual acuity and the eye’s ability to focus. It increases the accuracy and clarity of your prescription glasses.

The slit lamp exam uses a specialized microscope fixed with a light to analyze your eye’s anterior segment in detail. Your eye doctor uses this exam to analyze your cornea, iris, and lens to diagnose and manage conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, conjunctivitis, and others.

Fundus Photography

Fundus photography takes detailed color pictures of the back of the eye, including the retina, optic disc, and macula, and is invaluable in diagnosing and managing various conditions like diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, macular edema, and retinal detachment.

Corneal topography is a noninvasive technology that maps the surface and curvature of your cornea in 3D. It can help diagnose corneal irregularities, such as astigmatism, and helps with contact lens fittings.

The Oculus Keratograph 5M is an advanced device that helps your eye doctors diagnose and manage by capturing high-resolution images of the ocular surface, tear film, and meibomian glands. Overall, it examines the health of your cornea and provides a comprehensive picture of your eye health.

Dark adaptometry measures how quickly your eyes adjust to low light conditions, which is important for determining your night vision and diagnosing night blindness.

The iCare tonometer measures the internal pressure of your eye (IOP). High IOP is a significant risk factor for glaucoma, which can cause vision loss and blindness without symptoms. The sooner glaucoma is detected, the sooner you can be placed on a treatment plan and minimize or prevent vision damage loss.
